What’s been a significant turning point in your life?
I had an accident 20 years ago that left me paralyzed. It made me realize that bad things can actually empower you. I’m a much stronger person today. Because I made the decision to not let the accident define me for the rest of my life. We all can make choices.
What was the one spark that landed you the work you’re now doing at Aimee LaCalle?
It was Aimee herself! I’d known her for six years and always been fascinated by her life, and the way she never felt limited by anything. So inspiring. One day, she offered me the job in customer service. I was teaching and it would have been so easy to keep on teaching forever but I wanted to experience Aimee’s kind of mindset. I know now this is where I am supposed to be in life.
If you were given an airline ticket to anywhere in the world today, where would you most want go?
I’d head for the Swiss Alps. The mountains are supposed to bigger there than in New Mexico! For some odd reason, mountains hold the answers for me. It’s always where I feel the most free.
